Lynsted Park near Faversham, Kent, offers an exceptional, private location for weddings and receptions. With only a limited number of days available for events, it’s a hidden gem of a place to get hitched. The wonderful grounds also make the perfect venue for other special events like birthdays, anniversaries and renewing vows.
The South Room, within Lynsted Park House, is a Georgian, triple aspect room with a parquet wooden floor, high ceilings, a stately fireplace and French doors onto a York stone terrace and courtyard. The South Room accommodates up to 60 guests, with some standing. It is ideal for smaller, intimate ceremonies and during the winter months. Use the gardens for beautiful photographs after the event. The perfectly mown Sunken Garden, descends elegantly from the main garden to create a beautiful private space. It has a splendid Gazebo with an attractive lead roof at the southern end under which you get married. Guests sit with a great view of you, surrounded by Tudor walls, an avenue of Lime Trees and Yew hedging. The Sunken Garden accommodates up to 200 guests and is perfect for outdoor summer ceremonies usually held from May until October. Use the gardens for beautiful photographs after the event. Guests are advised to bring a brolly just in case or on the day you can always switch to indoors – we attach a small marquee to the French Doors at the rear of the South Room to enlarge capacity.
